Thanks to all who participated in the Earth Day campus and community clean-up!
It was a gorgeous day to get outside, enjoy the sun and pick up trash in celebration of Earth Day last Thursday. Thanks to everyone who helped keep our campus and community clean and beautiful, and thank you to LSC's Student Life team for organizing the effort!

Please join us in celebrating this year's IceHawk Honor Award recipients. Students have been recognized for Student of the Year, clubs, athletics, competitions and much more. Administrative Office Specialist A.A.S. program earns more national recognition for LSC
BestValueSchools.org recently ranked Lake Superior College's Administrative Office Specialist A.A.S. program among the top 15 in the nation. Congratulations to the faculty and staff who prepare students for these important careers!

Free pediatric dental services offered by Lake Superior College Dental Hygiene Clinic
Second-year dental hygiene students provided free dental services to kids last week. Parents who signed up were able to bring their children in for preventative care provided by students under the supervision of licensed dental professionals. Check out the full story on Fox 21.
Sign up for the COVID-19 Vaccine Connector
The State of Minnesota continues to encourage residents to sign up for the COVID-19 Vaccine Connector, a tool to help Minnesotans find when, where, and how to get their COVID-19 vaccine. All state employees, who are Minnesota residents, are encouraged to sign up on the Vaccine Connector. Signing up means you will be alerted when you are eligible for vaccination, connected to resources to schedule an appointment, and provided vaccination opportunities in your area.

COVID-19 Related Updates
Thank you for all you're doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19. While more vaccinations are made available, please know we also continue to see positive cases in our community and must remain vigilant against this virus. Please continue to mask up, wash your hands, keep your distance, get tested, stay home when you're sick, get vaccinated when you're able (St. Luke's has vaccines available this week) to and continue to do everything possible to keep yourself and others safe.
You can always stay up to date on the latest COVID-19 related info at lsc.edu/coronavirus. The Minnesota State dashboard is updated weekly and serves as a tool to inform campus communities about changes in COVID-19 cases and community spread.

Please remember to continue to complete the online COVID-19 Self-Assessment each day you will be on campus. Thank you!

  • The Commencement Planning Committee encourages Fall 2020, Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 graduates to submit a photo for the Virtual Commencement Celebration. Graduates can submit one of their own photos or a photo taken at the photo booth in the LSC Commons. Photos must be submitted by May 3 to be included. Congratulations, graduates!

  • April 27-29 is Get Stuff Done @LSC, an event where students can virtually connect live to friendly campus resources. Assistance is available on topics like registering for courses, navigating D2L, taking tests, writing a paper and more. Drop in anytime, and no registration is needed. Zoom link and helpful videos are available at lsc.edu/getstuffdone.

  • The LSC Store has reopened for in-person shopping, with a Welcome Back Sale featuring a large 50% off apparel selection and $5 tee shirts.

  • Stress Less Days are May 4-5, with activities from LSC Health Services that will help de-stress the body and the mind as the end of the semester approaches. Pick up a Stress Less kit anytime next week in Student Life, and find the list events here at lsc.edu/healthservices.

  • The main campus will host a Spring Open House on Friday, May 7, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. To help ensure the safety of all in attendance, RSVPs are required, and tours will be spaced out and limited to small groups. RSVP at lsc.edu/OpenHouse.

  • A textbook buy back event will take place Thursday, May 13. Stop in front of the LSC Store 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to sell your used textbooks.
