Happy Finals Week!
Manufacturing Students Put Their Designs to Test at Task Robot Competition
Robots designed and built by Integrated Manufacturing student teams were put to the competitive task last Monday and were featured on Fox21 and WDIO news. The bots had to pick up steel marbles of a specific quantity and move them from container A to container B while traveling through an obstacle course. They were judged on staying within the course, the number of marbles deposited, and the amount of time needed to complete the task.
Students Display Works of Art in Fall Semester Art Exhibit
Students enrolled in LSC’s popular art courses displayed their work last week for the fall semester art exhibit. For many of the approximately 350 participating students, it was their first-ever exhibition.

Students presented a variety of art, including watercolor, sculpture, jewelry, digital photography and drawing, painting, drawing, two and three-dimensional design projects, graphic design and ceramics.

  • The LSC Social Committee invites you to the campus Holiday Potluck in the Atrium on Wednesday, December 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up to bring an item.

  • Forty-eight nursing students will be recognized at December 19 Pinning Ceremony at 5 p.m. in the Commons. Friends and family are invited to attend the ceremony with a reception to follow.

  • The LSC Store is offering 40% off select apparel, home decor and a big sale on overstocked art supplies through December 20.

  • LSC men's and women's basketball season continues with the women playing at Central Lakes College on December 20 at 5 p.m. and playing at Itasca Community College on December 21 at 1 p.m.. The men will play at 7 p.m. at Central Lakes College on December 20 and Itasca Community College on December 21 at 3 p.m. Go IceHawks!
