Student housing still coming near campus, just delayed due to COVID like so many other things
The COVID-19 pandemic has delayed many projects throughout the region, including the near campus student housing project that was scheduled to break ground in the spring of 2020 - right when everything was starting to shut down. The good news is, the developer is still fully committed to the project, and now it's just a matter of whether they can get started this spring or need to wait until spring of 2022, which all depends on where we are with vaccinations in the next few months. Business North has a good article about housing projects, including LSC's. We remain in close communication with the developer and will let campus know when we know more.
