Upcoming Events and
Campus Updates

  • This week is Professional Fluency Week, and this semester's focus is respect. Online or on ground, we can all actively listen, validate diverse perspectives, and interact positively. Respect. Give it and get it, LSC!

  • Construction is nearly completed on the Yellow Bike Coffee Cafe on main campus. They hope to be open and serving our campus community as early as next week. Construction is also underway on Hawks Landing, what will be a beautiful event center and student lounge just above the Yellow Bike Coffee Cafe and the St. Luke's Q Care Clinic. Hawks Landing is tentatively scheduled to be completed by the end of Spring Semester. Please excuse the noise and construction in that area, but the final product will be well worth it. Very exciting!

  • Student Success Day is Tuesday, February 9, with a wide variety of sessions designed to support students' academic and personal success. The keynote speaker will be Nicole Cardoza, entrepreneur, investor, writer, public speaker, and the organizer of Anti-Racism Daily, a newsletter to dismantle white supremacy. Most sessions will be presented via Zoom. Find topics and schedule at lsc.edu/student-success-day.

  • Do you know parents/guardians of MN high school or home school students? Encourage them to learn about PSEO at Lake Superior College! PSEO informational sessions will be offered via Zoom on February 10, 18 and 23. Find the schedule and Zoom link at lsc.edu/AboutPSEO.

  • LSC's Healthcare Open House is scheduled for Thursday, February 11, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., on LSC's main campus. Guests can learn about healthcare programs offered at LSC, tour the main campus, and visit classrooms and labs with state-of-the-art equipment. Registration is required and the event has been modified to ensure the safety of guests. Our admissions and marketing team has been busy promoting the opportunity and time slots are already filling up. If you know anyone who may be interested, please encourage them to RSVP soon. Any questions, please let us know at info@lsc.edu

If you have any story ideas, pictures/videos you'd like to share and/or info on upcoming events, please send them to marketing@lsc.edu so we can include them in the newsplash and/or our LSC's official social media pages.
