Every day we feel the impact of your gifts. LSM is gearing up for an ambitious 2025, and your support will fund planning, preparing, and training more lake steward volunteers. We’re very grateful to you for making this possible!

Ice comes and goes - that's nature's cycle. But it seems that increasingly, lakes are losing ice in late December or January due to warm bursts.

Your observations are crucial! Whether it's ice forming or melting, your reports help us better understand Maine’s changing climate. The on-and-off patterns we’re seeing make tracking tricky, but we’ve got resources to guide you.

2025 Maine Sustainability & Water Conference

Do you have a compelling lake-related issue or research to share? Great! Submit an abstract for the 2025 Maine Sustainability & Water Conference, happening on March 27, 2025.

• Oral Abstract Deadline: January 8, 2025
• Poster Abstract Deadline: March 5, 2025

The conference will explore topics including PFAS, wildfire resilience, sustainable water resources, and more! Visit the conference website for complete guidelines and submission details.
