Executive Director Reflections

Dear LT Community:

What a month it has been!

On June 12, we celebrated the graduation of the LT’25 cohort at the beautiful Alaska Care Retreat. In my remarks, I shared that graduating from Leadership Tomorrow is more than completing a program—it’s making a promise.

A promise to lead authentically, challenge what needs to change, and listen more than you speak. Leadership isn’t a title—it’s a practice. It’s what you do when no one’s watching. I, for one, can’t wait to witness the many ways the LT'25 cohort will make our region, and our world, better.

On Monday, we announced LT Elevate, our new program for emerging leaders. We’re excited to offer this six-month program for early-career professionals looking to build foundational leadership skills. We can now connect with a new generation of leaders earlier in their careers, expanding our reach and impact.

Help us spread the word! If you know someone who is a good fit, encourage them to register or attend our info session on July 8.

Thank you for all you do for Leadership Tomorrow and our region. It is an honor to share this space with you. Wishing you a restful and rejuvenating summer.

In community,

Bindiya Patel

Executive Director

Leadership Tomorrow Class of 2025 Graduation

🎓Congratulations to the Leadership Tomorrow Class of 2025!

Over the past ten months, this cohort engaged in courageous conversations, built deep connections, and wrestled with the urgent challenges facing the Puget Sound region. Together, they reflected on what it means to have an economic story, to feel at home in this place, and to lead with purpose, accountability, and heart—all during a time of national uncertainty and change. Here's what a few graduates said about their experience.

Amy Boyd, LT'25, Intellectual Ventures

Leadership Tomorrow has been a gift—an unexpected pause in the rush of daily life that gave me space to reflect, connect, and grow. I’ve met people who’ve challenged and inspired me.

Adrian Chan, LT'25, Washington State Health Care Authority

Leadership Tomorrow has meant being in true community—learning, growing, and showing up alongside folks committed to social justice, equity, and collective impact. It’s been a space where vulnerability was met with support, and where I found both challenge and belonging.

Sampson Fletcher, LT'25, Smartsheet

LT has been cathartic for me, an invaluable reminder that we collectively know most of the solutions to our greatest challenges; it's just a matter of being brave enough to chase those solutions. For me, LT is about committing to plant the saplings of trees I may never live to see become a forest. It's proof of the magic that happens when we put a system on the table, poke it, challenge it to defend itself—and celebrate when it winces.

Join LT for a Day of Service!

Monday, July 28, 2025, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Seattle Hope Factory (5 S Nevada St, Seattle, WA 98134)

Join Leadership Tomorrow for a volunteer day at Seattle’s Hope Factory, where we’ll build a tiny home for people experiencing homelessness. Since 2018, Hope Factory volunteers have constructed more than 600 tiny homes that serve as transitional housing—offering residents a safe, private space with electricity. These homes are part of “villages” that include shared kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry facilities, along with on-site social services that support residents as they work toward long-term, stable housing.

No experience needed—just bring your energy and willingness to help! Registration is free. Space is limited to 20 volunteers.
