Executive Director Reflections

Dear LT Community:

September marks the beginning of a new LT year. A new class (welcome, LT'25!). New board members. New alumni programming and opportunities to connect. It's an exciting time, but before we dive into the new year, let's pause to reflect on the past 12 months. The past year was particularly meaningful as we celebrated 40 years of cultivating a network of inclusive leaders. Curious about the impact LT has made over the past four decades? Read these inspiring stories or watch this incredible video.

In upcoming communications, we'll announce our two new board members and the LT'25 cohort. But for now, we hope to see you at our September alumni events:

Thank you for being a vital part of our community. Together, we can continue to make our region a place where everyone thrives.

In community,

Bindiya Patel, Executive Director

P.S. Know someone who should apply for LT's next cohort? Nominate them here! It's never too early to start thinking about recruitment!

Alumni and Board Spotlight: Carl Bailey, LT'14

Celebrating a Decade of Service to LT

Carl's involvement in LT began immediately after he graduated from LT, serving as a Coach for the LT'15 class. Shortly after, he joined the Screening & Selection Committee (the group that interviews and screens applicants) and was later recruited by Lola Peters, LT'03 to succeed her as the Screening & Selection Chair.

Carl joined the LT Board in 2018. He recently completed his second term as Board Chair, generously serving an extra year to ensure a smooth executive director transition. Carl excels in keeping board meetings both engaging and efficient, public speaking (he rarely sticks to the script, and his version is always an improvement), and collaborating with others toward a common goal.

"Leadership Tomorrow has always been about people for me. I stay involved because it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with some of the smartest, most compassionate individuals. Even after challenging work sessions, it's rewarding to share a smile or laugh with someone who is just as dedicated to improving our region." - Carl Bailey, LT'14, Financial Advisor

Many thanks to Carl for his leadership, humor, and unwavering willingness to help.
