The Louisiana Travel Association CEO search committee and board of directors are thrilled that Kim Dodd Boasso has accepted the position of President/CEO of LTA and LACVB. We look forward to working with her and the staff at LTA to continue the growth and success of the organization leading the tourism industry in Louisiana.

Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working in state government that will translate quickly for LTA, as advocacy continues to be a significant priority of our membership.

Specifically, Kim’s background includes years of experience advising the Speaker and Speaker Pro Tempore for the Louisiana House of Representatives on issues involving local, state and federal government. Prior to joining the Louisiana House of Representatives, she served as Director of Legislative Affairs in the Office of the Commissioner for the Division of Administration, was a Senior Policy Advisor to Governor Bobby Jindal and has over 20 years of experience in the Louisiana Senate. A native of Louisiana, Kim holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University.

Kim will succeed Jill Kidder, the former President/CEO, on January 1, 2023 after concluding projects in her current position.

In addition, Laura Cating has been promoted to Executive Vice President, after previously serving as LTA’s Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Advocacy. Laura is an integral member of the staff at the LTA and this promotion is well earned. She has risen to the challenge in the absence of a CEO and is a proven leader in the travel and tourism industry. We are fortunate to have her on the team.

Thank you for joining your board and search committee in the excitement for all that is ahead for LTA. We look forward to introducing all of our members to Kim in the coming months!

Sincerely,
