As a result of recent product enhancements, which included the re-classification of risk classes into one "Premier" rate, National Guardian Life has re-aligned some of its underwriting guidelines. Notable changes include the following:
Family History
Those who have multiple family members or first degree relatives with a history of Dementia (including Alzheimer's) will no longer be accepted
Self-Reported Memory Issues
Those with self-reported perceived declines in memory will not be accepted if the complaint is current or within the past five years
More Detailed Guidelines for Certain Conditions
Including high blood pressure, diabetes, osteopenia/osteoporosis, and physical therapy history
