Updated Underwriting Guidelines
 
As a result of recent product enhancements, which included the re-classification of risk classes into one "Premier" rate, National Guardian Life has re-aligned some of its underwriting guidelines. Notable changes include the following:

  • Family History
  • Those who have multiple family members or first degree relatives with a history of Dementia (including Alzheimer's) will no longer be accepted
  • Self-Reported Memory Issues
  • Those with self-reported perceived declines in memory will not be accepted if the complaint is current or within the past five years
  • More Detailed Guidelines for Certain Conditions
  • Including high blood pressure, diabetes, osteopenia/osteoporosis, and physical therapy history

Updated EssentialLTC Materials
 
As a result of recent product enhancements, National Guardian Life updated a number of its EssentialLTC materials, including its Agent Guide, Underwriting Guide, State Variation Listing, and Product Guides.
