New Business and Underwriting Updates
 
Effective immediately, Transamerica will no longer consider appeals for declined cases. They will no longer be postponing applicants, either - those with acute medical histories will be declined and will not be reconsidered. Additionally, paper applications missing signature pages, applicant date of birth, or applicant social security number will be rejected and will have to be re-submitted once corrected. REMINDER: EssentialLTC Product Enhancements in 38 States
 
Effective April 1, 2021, National Guardian Life enhanced product features and refreshed rates for EssentialLTC in the following 38 states:
 
Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
 
Updated quoting software and marketing materials are now available for download. Applications for these states have been updated and must be used going forward. The new applications and forms are available on the producer portal as well.

Premium Rate Action
 
Effective March 29, 2021, Genworth implemented rate action on in-force business in Utah and Wyoming. Effective April 5, 2021, rate action was implemented in Washington DC, Kentucky, and South Dakota. Click the links below for more info.
