Additional Details for Transamerica's Standalone LTCi Exit
 
Transamerica has announced additional details for its planned exit from the standalone LTCi marketplace in 2021.
 
For individual sales, all applications must be signed and received by Transamerica no later than Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
 
For new Multi-Life cases, all Service Group Request forms must submitted to Transamerica Transamerica no later than Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Multi-Life applications must be signed and submitted no later than Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
 
Whether business is submitted via the eApp or paper applications, it must be signed and received by Transamerica on or before the dates above - without exception.
 
Transamerica leadership is currently working on a FAQ document that will have more information about the transition, which should be released in the coming weeks.

Merger with Oceanwide Postponed
 
The December 31, 2020 deadline for Genworth's planned merger with China Ocean Holdings Group Co. passed without an agreement being reached. The merger agreement has not been canceled, but the deadline has not yet been extended. In the interim, Genworth is focusing on its contingency plan, which includes several measures to improve its financial position and manage its operating expenses. Premium Rate Action
 
Effective January 11, 2021, Genworth implemented rate action on in-force business in Michigan and Missouri. Effective January 19, 2021, rate action was implemented in Kentucky. Click the links below for more info.
