Dear LTHS Parents/Guardians and Families,
I hope this email finds you having had a wonderful weekend! We are two weeks away from the start of the 2022-23 school year and I wanted to continue sharing important beginning of the year information with our LTHS families.
School Calendar & 2022-23 Daily Schedule

Here is the link to the 2022-23 school year calendar that is posted on the LTHS website.
-
Every Wednesday will be a late start for all students, with the exception of early-release School Improvement Days, school-wide testing day (April 12) and the last week of each semester. First period will start at 9:15am on late start days.
- The following Wednesdays are early-release School Improvement Days: September 28, November 16, February 8 and March 15. First period will start at 7:45 on early-release days and dismissal will be at 11:30am.
Important Chromebook Information
Please share this important information with your student(s) regarding preparation for the start of the school year with respect to Chromebooks.
- Before August 22, students are expected to:
- fully charge the Chromebook’s battery
- connect it to the Internet at home
- leave it connected for at least an hour to accept the latest Google updates
Returning students are encouraged to complete this process prior to their Book Pick Up appointment. Returning students that are experiencing problems with Chromebooks are encouraged to visit the Student HelpDesk when onsite for their Book Pick Up appointment.
- On the first day of school (August 22), students are expected to bring the Chromebooks to school, fully charged and ready to use.
Students experiencing problems once school is in session are to visit the Student HelpDesk – SC A109D or NC 44A – for assistance.

The deadline for families of incoming freshman students to submit an original birth certificate to the South Campus Main Office was July 18. Those families that have not yet submitted a birth certificate need to do so immediately. The birth certificate must include the name of at least one parent. A copy will be made and the original will be returned to the family. Targeted communications are regularly being sent to families that still need to submit their child’s birth certificate.
-
Submit Health Paperwork:
-
Class of 2026 Families: All incoming freshmen are required to provide:
1) Health examination with proof of immunizations prior to the first day of school. This must be completed by a MD, DO, APN or PA, dated on or after 8/22/21 and documented on the Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination. A separate sports physical is not needed.
We continue to send targeted emails to Class of 2026 families that still need to complete medical paperwork. If it is not on file by the first day of school, the student will be excluded from school. This exclusion shall begin immediately and shall remain in effect until the student is in compliance. Please submit documentation electronically as a PDF or JPEG and any related questions to healthservices@lths.net.
-
2022-23 Seniors, including Transition Program and 5th-year Seniors: All seniors are required to provide documentation of compliance with the Illinois meningococcal conjugate (meningitis) vaccine requirement. Please review the meningitis vaccination requirement information on the LT website. Please submit documentation electronically as a PDF or JPEG and any related questions to healthservices@lths.net. We continue to send targeted emails to Class of 2023 families that still need to submit documentation for the meningococcal conjugate (meningitis) vaccine. -
Covid-19 Vaccine Card Submission: Fully vaccinated students are encouraged to share a copy of their vaccine card with the Health Office by emailing a jpeg picture or PDF to studentcovid@lths.net. Students who are fully vaccinated do not have to quarantine in the case of a close contact; therefore, they will not have to miss school, activities, or athletics, unless they are symptomatic.
-
Complete Fee Payment: July 1 was the due date for online fee payment. Families that still need to complete fee payment can pay unpaid fees through the Infinite Campus Parent App. To view the individual charges and make a payment, login to your Infinite Campus Parent App account and select the Fees option for your student(s). You may make online payments using credit or debit cards, or via e-check directly from the Parent App. If you must pay by paper check, send your payment to either the North or South Campus Bookstore. Be sure to include your student(s) LT ID number on your check.
- If you have questions, please contact Heidi Quinn in the North Campus Bookstore at 708.579.6380 or Mary O'Neill in the South Campus Bookstore at 708.579.6548.
- If you need assistance accessing the Infinite Campus Portal, please contact Belinda Salutric at BSalutric@lths.net or 708.588.7433.
-
Residency Verification: We have contracted with a company to assist the district in electronically verifying residency. Your family has been notified of your residency verification status. For those families that have not been cleared, LT South Campus will have personnel available to assist families with completing residency verification from 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday thru Friday. Your child(ren) will not be eligible to start school until your family completes residency verification. Specific instructions are included within residency communications. Later today, a targeted communication will be sent to those families that still need to complete residency.
-
Book Pick-Up: Lyons Township High School will welcome students on campus August 10, 11 and 15, 2022 to pick up their school issued supplies for the upcoming school year. Students are required to sign up for a time slot at the campus they will be attending. Parents are not expected to attend. Students will be picking up schedules, textbooks and Chromebooks (if they don’t already have one). Additionally, yearbook/ID pictures will be taken. Later today, targeted emails will be sent to those students/families who have not yet signed up for book pick-up appointments. Specific instructions regarding signing up for a book pick-up appointment will be included within the email. Information regarding book pick up can be found on the Assistant Principals’ Page of the LT website.
-
The following document is VIP Pricing for Photos. Please note that ID/Yearbook photos will be taken at Book Pick-up. Students will receive information regarding ordering photos after their picture is taken at Book Pick-up.
- Please note that due to an extensive amount of summer construction at South Campus, this may impact South Campus students’ ability to put their books/supplies in their lockers during Book Pick Up. Most of the building will be accessible, but some lockers located on the second floor within both the B and C wings may be inaccessible because of construction/cleaning. Our staff will provide more information to students when they are at South Campus for Book Pick Up. We anticipate that this will evolve over the course of the next week as our staff finishes cleaning rooms in the upper B and upper C wings. Once lockers are accessible, students can access LTHS South Campus during hours that the building is open to put books/supplies in their lockers.
