LUM Follies 2018 - A Smashing Success
LUM Follies Raises $14K for Emergency Assistance
The 7th annual LUM Good Samaritan Fund Follies was a lovely evening and all in support of emergency financial assistance for local families.

The LUM Follies stage show wowed the audience, and the meal was delectable. LUM Follies guests bid generously on an exciting variety of Silent Auction baskets and made specific donations using the Butterfly Tree (community needs with donations amounts). At LUM Follies 2018, over $14,500 was raised for emergency aid — making this year's LUM Follies the one of the most successful.

The best part is that 100% of the proceeds from the LUM Good Samaritan Fund Follies go to the LUM Good Samaritan Fund. If you missed this year’s LUM Follies and still wish to make a difference by making a donation, click HERE.
The LUM Good Samaritan Fund FOLLIES was successful this year because of our sponsors and a hard-working & talented team of volunteers & staff who worked together in support of the families in crisis in our community. The LUM Staff and Board of Directors wish to extend sincere thanks to our donors and the many individuals who assisted in the planning of this year’s LUM Good Samaritan Fund Follies including:

LUM Students Play New Card Game - Cube Hog
Purdue Student Entrepreneurs Share New Game
Recently, Tyler Damm & Thibault Corens hosted a game day for the LUM After School Program students featuring their new card game, Cube Hog. Tyler & Thibault, Purdue seniors and entrepreneurs, created Cube Hog, a card game that focuses on quick cognitive gameplay using cubes, memory and sleight of hand to teach and have fun. Tyler, Thibault & Madison Rosen (pictured L to R with the LUM students) led several rounds of playing Cube Hog with the LUM students, and it was a big hit. Young Donor - Jonah Donates to LUM
5 Year Old Lafayette Youth Gives to LUM
Jonah Smith (pictured left), 5 year old from Lafayette, has a piggy bank filled with money that he's received as gifts and for chores. When it's full, Jonah divides his money by three and puts one third into his savings account, spends one third, and gives one third to a local charity. This time Jonah selected Lafayette Urban Ministry as the recipient of his piggy bank savings. Jonah is in Kindergarten and is homeschooled. This act of kindness was part of a lesson on "money" and was tied to giving more during Lent. He was able to donate $9.87 to LUM. Jonah and his family are member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Lafayette. LUM is grateful to Jonah for his generous donation.
