As we enter the most dangerous part of the winter season, Lafayette Urban Ministry is embarking on a crucial mission to enhance the LUM Winter Warming Station, providing a safe and warm haven for those experiencing homelessness. LUM is thrilled to share that we have not only expanded the service hours but are also moving to a larger facility to ensure everyone has a warm and secure place to spend the night. To make this initiative a success, LUM is launching the Winter Care Campaign, focusing on the needs that impact the well-being of our unhoused guests. In a heartwarming demonstration of community commitment, Zeigler Subaru of Lafayette recently participated in the Subaru Love Promise program, showcasing its dedication to making a positive impact beyond the automotive world. Recognizing the pressing issue of food insecurity, the dealership, along with its staff and customers, collaborated in a collective effort to support the LUM Food Pantries. Their remarkable initiative resulted in the collection and donation of an impressive 710 pounds of food.
