Season's Greetings, It's been a successful fall semester thanks to the ongoing generosity of the foundations who sustain us, the contributions of our new and existing volunteers and the support of our partners in the community. It was a pleasure to celebrate with you at our October Annual Meeting where we reflected on LVGW's 50-year legacy and heard from guest speaker Tim Garvin, CEO of United Way Central Mass. We are thrilled to announce that Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester has been awarded a 2023 Community Grant from Greater Worcester Community Foundation for $25,000 for General Operating Support. Thank you, GWCF!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Please consider donating gently used men's and women's outerwear including coats and boots to our office. Just recently, a student missed a test reporting, "I don't have any winter clothes to walk to class." Many of our students are new arrivals unfamiliar with the unpredictable and unforgiving climate of Massachusetts. Thank you!

Sunday December 3rd: Worcester Art Museum  Remember that WAM is FREE the first Sunday of every month! Sign up for a FREE library card at the Worcester Public Library for discounts on museum passes for you and your family. Career Prep Series Join us Wednesday January 10th and January 24th from 4-6pm at our Madison Street office for free help with resume writing and interview skills. SPRING 2023 CLASS SCHEDULE January 29 - April 13 Visit our offices for In-Person Registration beginning January 8th (10-week courses available in person and online) Coming Soon!
