PULLING (NEW CONTRACT LANGUAGE)
As per the new language in the JNESO Collective Bargaining Agreement with LVH-P, management has agreed that it will not pull nurses without the skill to function as assigned.
The full language of Article 12.6 with regards to pulling is below:
No employee shall be reassigned more than once per shift, however, a return to the original unit shall not constitute being pulled. PMC shall discuss an RN's return to the original unit with the assigned RN prior to requiring the return to ensure patient care needs are met. PMC agrees that it will not temporarily transfer or pull nurses without the skill to function as assigned.

Should a nurse be pulled to a unit to which the nurse is not familiar, PMC will assign such. nurse to an RN regularly assigned to that unit, or an available Nurse Manager or Nurse Supervisor who will act as a resource person and provide a brief orientation to the unit.
If you have been given an assignment that you feel you do not have the competencies to safely provide patient care please follow your chain of command and first contact your supervisor. If you continue to have concerns regarding your assignment please contact your JNESO Labor Rep. and contact the Department of Health.
