WHO GETS PULLED FIRST?
With rampant pulling underway, RNs are asking this question more and more. It is important that we protect the processes delineated in your contract and hold LVH-P to what was negotiated.
Article 8.3 states:
PMC will solicit volunteers to take time off during periods of low census. In the event there are not enough volunteers, the hospital will assign employees to take patient care assignments on another unit or perform alternative duties on their own unit or another unit including by the way of example, close observation.
Article 10.10 states:
When PMC gives the employee the option to take a low-census day, the employee may elect to:
* Receive PTO Pay at straight time
* Take the day without pay
* Manager may offer On-Call based on need.
Article 12.1 states:
Nurses who are temporarily reassigned to a unit other than their primary unit shall be assigned patient care in accordance with their annual demonstrated competency level.
Article 12.7 states:
External agency nurses will be temporarily re-assigned first.
