501(c)(3) Approval!
Last year at this time we were sharing information with members about the advantages of our League requesting a change of IRS tax exempt status from a 501(c)(4) to becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit.  Our small group of members which included Angelika Kuehn, Joan Petertil, Marge Massarello, Sarah Shirk,  and Peggy Kell worked for months putting documentation together for our application that was submitted in November. We just received a letter from the IRS that our application was approved! Congratulations to us!
