Candidate and Campaign Supporter 101

Do you live in River Forest? This coming Spring, there will be 15 seats open on elected boards in River Forest. The Park District, Library, Village, District 90, and District 200 Boards will all have open seats. Anyone considering a run for these offices is encouraged to come and hear representatives from these boards and the River Forest Township talk about governance and serving. Also, lawyer Tim Lapp will present a review of the balloting process. Finally, you will hear from a 2017 candidate on things to consider in putting together a campaign team. This event is sponsored by the River Forest Civic Association and will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 7:00pm at the River Forest Library, 735 Lathrop, River Forest. Come and bring a friend to this non-partisan educational offering. It is important to all of us to have strong candidates in the April 2 municipal elections, and this program will be of benefit to anyone contemplating a run!
