Back-to-School Safety Tips

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we would like to remind residents to help keep the community safe for students, families, and drivers.

🚸 Slow Down & Stay Alert

Reduce your speed and watch carefully for children, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Be especially cautious near school bus stops, crosswalks, and neighborhood entrances.
Avoid distractions, including cell phone use, while driving.

🚌 School Bus Safety

Stop when required for a school bus with flashing red lights.
Never pass a stopped school bus when children are entering or exiting.
Give buses plenty of room and remain alert for children who may be crossing the street.

🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety

Use designated sidewalks and crosswalks whenever available.
Look both ways before crossing streets and make eye contact with drivers when possible.
Children riding bicycles should wear properly fitted helmets and follow traffic rules.

🏡 Help Keep the Neighborhood Safe

Please be patient during busy morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up times.
Follow all posted speed limits and traffic signs.
Watch for children who may unexpectedly enter the roadway.

🏊 Seasonal Pool Closing Reminder

As a reminder, the Seasonal Pool will close after Labor Day for the season.

La Cima Residents, we’re in a bit of a pinch — we’re completely out of baby wipes, size 5, 6 & 7 diapers and paper towels, and we are almost down to our last roll of toilet paper These essentials go fast, and right now, families counting on us really need them.

If you’re able to donate even a pack or two, it would mean the world. Please bring your donations to our donations center during regular business hours: 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday.
