La Reina del Sur - Season II, features
The Miami Symphony Orchestra Soundtrack
In 2019, for the first time, the Miami Symphony Orchestra recorded a soundtrack for a television series, Telemundo's much anticipated "La Reina del Sur" Season Two with Music Director & Conductor Eduardo Marturet.

The creation of the soundtrack for the series second season was the result of the partnership between Eduardo Marturet, Music Director & Conductor of the Miami Symphony Orchestra, and Latin Grammy-nominated composer and musician Alberto Slezynger, working together with composers and arrangers Vinicio Ludovic and Tarcisio Barreto, and Marcos Santana, President of Telemundo Global Studios, who is also Showrunner and Executive Producer of the series. The music score was created by Alberto Slezynger and his team at Personal Music, exclusively to accompany the series' diverse storylines, and was interpreted by 50 musicians, conducted by Eduardo Marturet.

The show is the network's most successful 'Super Series' used to differentiate it from its traditional long-running telenovelas. Kate del Castillo as Teresa Mendoza, is one of her most successful television roles, based on the lead character of Spanish author Arturo Perez-Reverte's novel "La Reina del Sur.”
