Message from Mr. Mickulik

Mark your calendars and help La Salle Academy plan for delicious success -
This spring, on Plam Sunday weekend, April 4th & 5th, after all the Masses,
La Salle Academy is hosting "A Taste of La Salle" at the school
with a kitchen full of traditional Easter foods to eat, buy, as well as family attractions to enjoy.
We will also have a pre-order coming out mid-February
for you to get your holiday favorites in time for Easter.
We want to invite members from the parish to help us turn it up a notch this year.

We are having a planning meeting on Tuesday, January 7th at 7pm in the school cafeteria where we will be discussing the Pre-Order Menu and some of the foods for the event.
We will hopefully be doing some taste testing as well.

We will meet again on Tuesday, 1/14 at 7pm to taste even more!

If you are great at making traditional Polish foods or just want to help us plan
to have some great things to enjoy,
please join us to help launch an outstanding "Taste of La Salle!"
Richie's Wish
Thank you for making Christmas merry for children in foster care!

With the help of many generous donors we were able to provide gifts to 282 children.
This included 127 children living in traditional foster homes, 73 children living in ‘kinship’ foster homes and 82 children who are living in their birth homes
and receiving services from Children and Youth
with the goal of preventing them from ever having to be placed in foster care.
We were also able to drop off 9 LARGE boxes of toys to Berks Children and Youth Services - to make sure that children placed in foster care emergently
in the days just before Christmas will have gifts available for them.
TURNING TAXES – into – SCHOLARSHIPS Our Future • Your Benefit • Their Education
Do you know someone that qualifies to save money on their PA taxes
which would also benefit La Salle Academy students?
Please take the time to watch the brief video below
and contact Mr. Mickulik, Principal, and Mr. John Fierro, Program Manager, to learn more.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation, founded in 2001, provides financial assistance to families in the Diocese of Allentown to help with the cost of education. The foundation participates in the PA Tax Credit programs, which are designed to give donors a 90% tax credit for their contributions.

How often have you had the opportunity to choose how your state tax dollars are spent?

Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program (OSTC) businesses and individuals can direct their tax dollars to help educate deserving students. Over 3,000 companies have been directly involved in supporting the education of children in Pennsylvania, and have contributed more than $450million to schools in their communities.

You have to pay taxes regardless... Why not direct them to help Catholic Schools and receive a 90% tax credit?
