"On the night of the 1st of September we observed for the first time signs of the natives being in the neighbourhood (sic). Fires were seen on the low land near Cape Frederick Henry, and at daylight we saw the natives with our glasses.

La Villa Matira Grand Opening Bora Bora!
Villa Mahana, the Bora Bora restaurant by Chef Damien Rinaldi Dovio, is one of the best restaurants in the islands, as well as on Bora Bora. With only seven tables  per evening, the Villa Mahana is THE dining location on Bora Bora. It is a must for an amazing dining experience.

The Grand Opening of the new La Villa Matira has been anticipated for months. Here it is! On September 4, 2017, La Villa Matira will open for lunch from 11am to 3pm. With servings "family style", where all dishes are served at once on an open table. Reservations are required.
La Villa Matira is on the hill above Matira Beach, and has a 360 degree view of Bora Bora's lagoon and Taha'a in the distance. The view is impressive. The full concept being created at La Villa Matira is a location for dining, relaxing (there will be a deck and pool), and accommodation in one of the most amazing locations on Bora Bora.

Kleon Howe

I was born in Germany to an American dad and a German mom, and traveled the U S and world as an "Air Brat" with my parents as they were stationed in a number of locations. I g raduated university from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Psychology. I moved to San Diego. Here I departed on a voyage around the world for 11 1/2 years on a 44 foot sailboat named "Rhiannon" with my now husband, Robert Lynn. When i returned to the US I could not find a travel agent to help me visit the islands, New Zealand and Australia. This prompted me to create The Art of Travel to help travelers create amazing trips for true experiences with the peoples and locations that are very special to me.
As the Polynesians say: "The first time you travel to the islands, you experience us with your brain. But what you do not know...yet, is that your experience with us plants a seed in your heart, that, if nourished, will compel you to return to the islands over and over again!"
This is so true of me. I love the islands, Australia and New Zealand. I also so enjoy having you visit them as well.
Let's have some fun and begin! Contact me!
