2 Donors Choose Projects are available!
Can you help these teachers fulfill their ideas?
THIS WEEK'S FEATURED PROJECT is for
Mrs. McGoey's Studying Personality in AP Psychology
My students need additional copies of the DSM-5: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders so that they can work with all class copies, received from DonorsChoose.org, in small groups. They will be given real case studies of individuals with mental disorders and will use the books to identify the symptoms of the disorder the case study has.
- The printer ink is necessary for printing up the case studies and arranging them into stations.
- The watercolor paper will be used by the students in creating their own Rorschach-style ink blots with watercolor paint.
- They also need a diagnostic book of Hermann Rorshach's inkblots to use when taking personality inventories of the original Rorschach inkblot plates as well as the ones they created in class.
Ms. Kingham's AP World History Online Prep Course
DonorsChoose is a nonprofit organization that allows private individuals to donate to public school classroom projects. LaGuardia teachers post many project requests on DonorsChoose throughout the school year for one simple reason: the NYC Department of Education does not provide many of the materials, technology and other essentials that make LaGuardia great.
DonorsChoose donations are eligible for most employers' matching gift programs.

LaG alumna Jennifer Anniston ('87) then and now.
Doesn't she look great all through the years?
Apparently Jennifer was at LaGuardia at an interesting time - the building opened when she was a freshman or sophomore, but our two theaters weren't yet built! They still had no theatres at LaG until the year after she headed to Hollywood...
We try to reach as many LaGuardia parents as possible. If you know a parent who is not getting these emails, please have them sign up by going to www.laguardiahspa.org/emailsignup.
