LabCoP Extended ECHO Session

for 12 March!

Join us this Thursday, 12 March 2026, at 16:00 East Africa Time for our LabCoP ECHO session when we discuss the external quality assurance dashboard of the Global Laboratory Initiative.

The Global Laboratory Initiative (GLI), a working group of the Stop TB Partnership, is dedicated to accelerating and expanding access to quality-assured laboratory services in response to the diagnostic challenges of tuberculosis (TB), notably HIV-associated and drug-resistant TB. The GLI provides a focus for TB within the framework of a multi-faceted yet integrated approach to laboratory capacity strengthening.

The GLI website provides resources, including manuals, training materials, and quality assurance tools, to strengthen TB laboratory services worldwide. During this session, one of the resources, the newly published external quality assurance (EQA) dashboard, will be presented. The EQA dashboard is a tool that supports TB laboratories to identify and connect with EQA providers around the world, ensuring that they can participate in proficiency testing programs and maintain high standards for TB diagnosis. It provides easy access to information about EQA services, helping laboratories find the right programs to assess and improve their diagnostic capabilities.

Presenter:

  • Dr Kristin Kremer, GLI core group member, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, The Netherlands
