CMS teacher receives "My Favorite Teacher" award

This summer, Southwire held a contest to support educators, offering a chance for teachers to win $500 as part of their 20th Annual Back to School Giveaway. Out of more than 300 nominees, Carrollton Middle School's very own Lexus Mitchell was among the 20 lucky winners. Today, she was surprised with a special check presentation in her classroom. Congratulations to Mrs. Mitchell on this well-deserved recognition!

Building musical skills at CUES

Ranger's classroom watch — Encouraging good behavior and building trust

This year at Carrollton Elementary School, Ranger, the mini stuffed mascot of the Carrollton Police Department, will be visiting classrooms. School Resource Officer Halle Rosen will select a different class each Friday for Ranger to "watch over" students and encourage Trojan Gold behavior. At the end of the week, Officer Rosen will check in with the teacher to review the class's behavior. Well-behaved classes will be rewarded, and one standout student will receive special recognition. This initiative helps students understand that the police are there to support them while also promoting positive behavior.
