Hello Athletes!

If you need a hotel during the event, Country Inn & Suites Bothell is giving you a special rate of $110 per night! Book here in order to get the discounted rate.

How to check the tentative flight info (flights may change):

Go to www.liftingcast.com.

Find "2026 USA Powerlifting Washington ladies of Iron" on the list of events.

Click that link.

Click on the 3 lines at the upper left hand corner of the page.

Select "Roster".

This will show you what session and flight you are currently in.

If you want more info about each lifter, click "Board" under each platform.

This event will be a 2 session event. There is NO NIGHT BEFORE WEIGH INS.

Many of you have expired USA Powerlifting membership cards. Please renew your cards for the year at this link. Please have this done by April 6th at the very latest. DO NOT wait until right before the event. If you do not renew within this time and do not respond to my requests to do so, you will be removed from the roster.

I'd like to talk about weight classes and making weight. Please be sure you are in the correct weight class. If you weigh 98kg, you should have entered to 100kg weight class. The number of the weight class is the TOP weight you can weigh. If you weigh 59kg, you will be in the 60kg weight class.

If this is your first event, I recommend not trying to "make weight." That means don't try to lose weight to compete. Compete in your actual weight class and gain the experience of competing without the added stress of dieting. Check out this video about weight classes.

If you need to change weight classes, please complete the weight class change form found on the event page of our website www.usaplwa.com. We put together flights based on weight classes. If you don't make weight at weigh ins, I may not move you to the flight of other athletes in your weight class.

If for some reason you don't make weight at weigh ins, you can still lift. You'll just compete at your updated weight class.

Sincerely,

Danna Snow
