Dear Parents,
Fall at Ladybug Academy has been very successful so far. Our autumn themes and pumpkin activities kept the children excited and engaged throughout the month. As we approach the holiday season, we are excited to share our upcoming events and look forward to another spectacular month with you all.
"The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn."

Catering Cost
Starting on November 1st, we are increasing our catering cost to $6.00 per child. In order to accommodate proper portions for all the children that are on the food program, this price increase is necessary.
School Updates:
Updated Sick Policy & Illnesses:
We have updated our sick and illnesses policies based on the CDC guidelines.
We require that you keep your children home if they show any Covid related symptoms, and they will be sent home if the symptoms start at the Center. In order for them to return to the Center, they will need a doctor's note stating that they have had a COVID test with a negative result. The result has to be sent to Ms. Ola or Ms. Cristina (for Ladybug 1), and Ms. Ola or Ms. Saima (for Ladybug 2) via email before they can return back to the Center.
For more information on COVID symptoms and CDC Guidelines regarding this, click the link here.
Center Closures: Our Centers will be closed on November 11th for Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences, and November 25th & 26th for Thanksgiving.
Click here for our closure details.
Immunization Record:
Please update your child's vaccinations and immunizations. For children under the age of 2, they need to be updated every 6 months. For children 2 and up, they need to be updated every year.
These records have to be signed and stamped by your child's physician.

"Our son has been in ladybug beginning at 6 months. I cannot imagine sending him to a place with more caring and lovely teachers. Ladybug is a blessing and I am so happy to have found it. The peace of mind I have when dropping my son off at ladybug is priceless."

The Importance of Early Childhood Education
|
|
Why Is Early Childhood Education Important?
From a child's birth to entering Kindergarten, the importance of Early Childhood Education should be considered. It is not only a preparation for primary school, but also for a child's self-awareness, as well as one's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Allowing children to learn at their own pace, while engaging them in activities of their own interest can prove to be very beneficial throughout the child's life.
At Ladybug Academy, we follow the Reggio Emilia approach to education. We believe in a collaborative and flexible class environment that empowers children to be more passionate about their learning. Our themes and free play give students various opportunities to learn and discover at their own pace, making education more rewarding!

November will be dedicated to being thankful! It is important for children to learn that we have so much to be thankful for on a daily basis. Our November themes will allow children to understand and respect friendship more, along with showing kindness and gratitude. In addition, we will be participating in Turkey projects!
