The Ladysmith Chamber Board of Directors and staff would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude for the support of from Members, our business community, and our sponsors. We are grateful for their investment in and involvement with the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce.

This has been a year of change and growth for the Ladysmith Chamber, and we are very proud of our progress.

Our increased involvement with the BC Chamber and directorship level with the BC Chamber Executives has proven very rewarding and also incredibly beneficial to our Ladysmith Chamber. We are pleased to announce that we have secured Business Connector membership with the BC Chamber opening the doors for new opportunities for advocacy and benefits. Already, our Board and staff had an in person meeting with Dr. Gregory Thomas, President of the BC Chamber Board of Directors. He came to Ladysmith and shared with us some of the 2023 BC Chamber initiatives and member value proposition.

If you missed our social media post, the Chamber is proud to announce that we have been awarded an Indigenous Learning & Projects Grant for Visitor Services through Destination BC. Connections have been made and our first meetings are set, we are so excited about this Grant and the amazing opportunities that will come through this project.

There will be lots to look forward to in 2023 with the Business Awards, Job Fair, another Memorial Golf Classic, Governance Training and much more.  Our year will start with a Business after Business at Jas Café as well as a Lunch & Learn at the Fox and Hound sponsored by Peninsula HR both scheduled in January, stay tuned for details! If you would like to host or sponsor a Business after Business or a Lunch & Learn, please reach out.

If any of our members would like to become involved with the Chamber, please do not hesitate to reach out.  In addition to Sponsorship opportunities, we have committee positions as well as the possibility of a seat or two on our Board of Directors.

We wish you all a Holiday season full of kindness and love, time with family and friends and hopes for a healthy, happy New Year!

Chamber / LDBA Christmas Social
Recap!
Tis the season for family, friends, festivities AND business socials!
Holiday Cheer was in the air at our sold out Christmas Social event sponsored by Glen Naylor Financial Group Inc. and Kubera Payments Corporation. With special guests, Mayor Aaron Stone and several of the Ladysmith Town Council members, we enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 171 Ladysmith B.C, wonderful food catered by In the Beantime Cafe and accepted donations for the Ladysmith Resources Centre Association food bank. Thank you Ladysmith Businesses for your support of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and Ladysmith Downtown Business Association.
Many thanks to Marina Sacht TAKE 5 Print & Digital Media for the use of some of her photos of the event!
Timely Tip from Chamber Member NextGen Automation
A few Members contacted us regarding an email they received, ostensibly about “Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce Mailing lists – 2022”.  Please do not open or respond to that message or any attachments. It is a phishing scam.

We have been in touch with our Webmaster about this. We have been assured that the website and membership email list have not been compromised.

Thank you to Chamber Member NextGen Automation for sharing their tips they send out to folks after our recent email phishing incident:
