Town launches new online public engagement website



The Town of Ladysmith is thrilled to launch Let’s Talk Ladysmith, a new online engagement platform that allows residents to provide input and feedback on Town projects and initiatives more easily.

Residents can access the public engagement website by visiting https://letstalk.ladysmith.ca/. Registration is required to participate, and feedback received on Let’s Talk Ladysmith will be considered by Town staff and Council as part of the decision-making process.

Canada Summer Jobs Early Application Deadline!

The annual Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program Call for Applications will be launched during the week of November 18, 2024, and will close on December 19, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time).

Don’t wait to apply! This year the CSJ Call for Applications will end before the new year. Don’t risk missing the deadline and apply early for Canada Summer Jobs funding!

2025 Events & Experiences Fund - Now Open

Tourism Cowichan is now accepting applications for the 2025 Events & Experiences Fund, for events, festivals and experiences taking place in 2025 (and up to March 31, 2026).

To qualify for funding, events and experiences must attract visitors from outside of the Cowichan Region to increase tourism visitation and spending by generating overnight stays in Cowichan. 

Did you know the Province has made changes to the Securing Small Business Rebate Program based on feedback received from the business community? Program administrator, the BC Chamber of Commerce, announced that the application portal has re-opened and is now accepting applications until January 31, 2025
