Fourth Sunday of Lent
Greetings!

There are two Sundays in the liturgical calendar when you and I see priests wear a rose-colored vestment – Gaudete Sunday (3rd Sunday of Advent) and Laetare Sunday (4th Sunday of Lent). Both Gaudete and Laetare mean “to rejoice.” These Sundays are also seen as a “break” from the penitential aspect of the season. This does not mean that we go back to our
old ways, rather it simply means a little breather from our
journey. Read more...

Please join us each Friday in Lent for Stations of the Cross.
Read on for more details and of other events.

God Bless,

Fr. Ritche

Questions and Answers about Lent and Lenten Practices
I understand that all the Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat, but I'm not sure what is classified as meat.  Also, I've noticed that restaurants and grocery stores advertise specials on expensive types of fish and seafood on Fridays during Lent. Some of my friends take advantage of these deals, but somehow, I don't feel right treating myself to the lobster special on Fridays during Lent.
