Ginger Louviere’s background was in nursing before going into esthetics. She has been a Medical Esthetician for over 20 years and started with her first business, DermaTronics, that led to the current Spa Mizan. She was a Certified Esthetics Trainer for Aveda Corporation and a Certified Medical Esthetics Trainer for Cosmedix Medical Esthetics. In 2010, she expanded her Aveda concept salon and spa to the current Kaliste Saloom Road location.
Ginger still practices with clients in addition to managing one of the most successful day spas on the Gulf Coast. She brings the latest in products, technology and training to her staff so that they can provide the services that meet her high standards.
Her goal was to create a place that serves women and men of all walks of life. She planned and searched for four years for the right place to create the current Spa Mizan Salon & Spa. As a full-service salon and spa, she offers hair, makeup, nails, body treatments, Vichy shower, facials and a menu of nearly 100 other services.
When most people would kick back and be complacent with the success of a business, she is the consummate business woman – always seeking to be better and to do better. Her customers often call her friend and confidant, cherish Ginger. She brings peace to the soul while treating the body.

, meaning balance, and incorporated it into our award-winning salon and spa that offers spaces inspired by nature and energy and combine it with our unique brand of luxury and comfort,” said Louviere. “With outstanding hair and nail services and authentic spa experiences inspired by traditions, plants and herbs, we’ll help you escape your fast-forward, current world and bring you to a quieter place to recover.”
Louviere and her business are the recipients of several awards: Top 200 Salons and Spas in North America, twice; Louisiana Small and Emerging Business of the Year; and Lafayette's Women Who Mean Business.
She loves being a grandmother. She and her husband, Dana, find time to entertain friends and travel to see their family while managing a world-class operation. She and her husband also purchased the historic Bittersweet home in Franklin, La. where they spend their weekends renovating and showcasing the property.
