Nestled on the ocean coast among coconut palms and ancient Hawaiian fish ponds is the Eva Parker Woods Cottage on the Big Island. The cottage was built over forty years ago by a member of the Parker Ranch family. The surrounding fish ponds date back to 250 BC.
This simple, charming cottage in such an idyllic setting has inspired paintings for many years by Lahaina Galleries' artists Darrell Hill, Ronaldo Macedo, Douglas Ball and Rod Cameron. The beautiful setting captures the spirit of Hawaii from the past. Compositions vary, but the feeling is the same.
The cottage is located at the newly renovated Mauna Lani Resort, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection.

Napili Bay is a beautiful sandy beach on Maui tucked between Ka'anapali and Kapalua Bay. This crescent shaped bay is protected by coral reefs about 100 feet out making the waters calm most of the time. The tidal pools to the south area are a great place to see turtles as close as ten feet from shore. |

This picturesque beach starts north of downtown Kihei and extends through Wailea. This .7 mile long sandy stretch is relatively uncrowded and is great for a nice stroll, swimming and taking in spectacular sunsets, like the one captured here by Ronaldo. |

Introducing Amy Everhart, the newest artist to join the Lahaina Ohana. Everhart is a contemporary impressionist whose artful use of brush, knife and vibrant palette captivates her audience.
“Rather than painting an actual landscape, I create a moment in nature, a moment that is filled with the emotion evoked by the power, the serenity, the fortitude, or even by the suffering of the life that clings tenaciously to the majestic mountainsides. I am the chronicler of the moment, indeed more than a chronicler. I am a participant in the conversation, for each painting also subtly bears my own joys, sorrows, frustrations, and triumphs within the interplay of light, shadow, color and energy. So as you are pulled into each moment that I paint, you share with me the passion for art and life.”
