Thrive Mentoring helps reduce shame, insecurity, addictions, and a myriad of other issues kids face by connecting them to an adult mentor in the Chelan Valley community. This inspires and supports personal growth for participants by spending quality time together engaged in local activities that produce trust, safety, and communication. Come hear about the success of Thrive's growing mentoring program and the positive impact it is having on local youth.
Lake Chelan Rotary Social September 12
September's Rotary Social will be at the beautiful new Sunset Marina on Wednesday, September 12 at 5:30 p.m. If you haven't yet seen it, this is a great time to get a tour of the clubhouse and spacious patios. Please bring an appetizer to share and a beverage of your choice, and please note that no glass will be allowed outside on the patio. Guests are welcome; please feel free to bring a friend who is interested in Rotary.
Club Announcements

Watch for more details regarding a Fireside Chat to be held in October for newer members to learn more about our club, connect with other recent members, and learn about projects or committees of interest. If you have questions or input please contact John Ausnes .

A Glimpse into Lake Chelan Rotary's Past
Mary Ann Warren shared this letter from a notebook of saved Rotary memories and history, giving us a look at some of the fun and pranks that went on during this era.  It is not clear who the author was, but Howard Van Slyke was Lake Chelan Rotary's President in 1927-1928, and Lloyd Ford was the President in 1935-1936.
District Youth Exchange Committee Seeks Volunteers
The District Youth Exchange Committee is accepting applications to join the committee to fulfill some very important roles.
