Teach Plus is offering three different fellowships for educators in the 2022-2023 school year:

Illinois Teaching Policy Fellowship This Fellowship program is for educators that want to help develop their inquiry and research skills, contribute to conversations surrounding education policies with their local legislators, and forward the efforts of equitable education for the diverse student population of Illinois. Chicago Change Agent Fellowship This Fellowship program is for outstanding teachers who want to lead a change effort to address an issue that affects students across their school. Together with their principal, the teacher leader identifies a problem of practice, and works collaboratively with other teachers and a teacher leadership coach to tackle this challenge. The Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellowship -This highly selective policy fellowship is for all levels of Early Childhood educators; it allows participants to address policy issues by engaging directly with their local legislators, and receive professional training. The deadline for applying is April 24th, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.

All of Teach Plus’ programs are highly selective leadership opportunities for outstanding teachers looking to expand their influence without having to leave the classroom. They span the 2022-2023 school year and offer selected teachers a generous stipend for their time and work. This is a valuable partnership! Help Teach Plus Illinois mobilize its efforts to select innovative teachers, by applying to be a Policy Fellow or Change Agent!
For all programs, we are seeking cohorts of excellent teachers who reflect the cultural, linguistic, and geographic diversity of our students. Additionally, applicants:
- Are teachers with at least two (2) full years of teaching experience by August 2022
- Have a track record of success teaching students.
- Are ready to dedicate time and passion to their fellowship
