Adrianna Swindle, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Partner. Adrianna is an exceptionally strong team leader with a comprehensive understanding of deeply complex projects. Her project experience is focused on innovative workplace design, community engagement, and branding through architecture. She has worked on large-scale projects throughout the region and is passionate about understanding the impact of the natural and built environments on human health and behavior. Adrianna also places great value on community involvement and representation and has served in several leadership positions for AIA San Antonio. Her notable projects include H-E-B’s new tech hub and the Security Service Federal Credit Union Headquarters, both in San Antonio, TX, as well as the Austin Central Library.

Chris Krajcer, AIA, NCARB has been promoted to Partner. A leader in Lake|Flato’s Austin Urban studio, Chris first joined the Lake|Flato team in San Antonio in 2005. Inspired by simplicity in the environment around him, Chris takes a naturalistic approach to region-specific design by working closely with clients to understand site, climate, and context while responding to their needs. Chris’s recent significant work includes the Holdsworth Center in Austin, TX, ASU Polytechnic Campus Academic District in Mesa, AZ, and Music Lane, a mixed-use retail and creative-office development spanning four city blocks in Austin’s South Congress district.

Joseph Benjamin, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Partner. Joseph Benjamin, known affectionately in the office as Joe Ben, joined Lake|Flato in 1998. Joe Ben has developed a diverse portfolio of civic, commercial, and education work with a focus on public-spirited projects that integrate high performance design strategies that account for the overall lifecycle of each building. His approach to design is pragmatic and holistic, grounded in the belief that great projects are born from great relationships. Joe Ben’s projects include the San Antonio Federal Courthouse, Hilltop Arboretum in Baton Rouge, LA, the Shangri La Nature Center in Orange, TX, and the Security Service Federal Credit Union Headquarters in San Antonio, TX.

Matt Wallace, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted to Partner. Matt is a co-leader of the firm’s Eco-Conservation studio, which fulfills his passion for championing projects that encourage environmental stewardship. He believes great architecture results from close collaboration between talented individuals and embraces mentoring new employees along with regularly presenting to aspiring architecture students. Matt’s recent projects include The Arboretum at Penn State’s Pollinator Garden in State College, PA, the Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza in Arizona, the Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary in Gibbon, NE, and the University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Research Laboratory at the Marine Education Center in Ocean Springs, MS.

Todd Wascher, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has been promoted
to Partner. Todd has over two decades of experience with commercial development and master planning projects. Much of his work focuses on the inherently sustainable act of adapting existing sites and structures into vibrant, human-scaled destinations that remove barriers to community-building and provide spaces where people want to be. Todd’s notable projects include the Pearl Brewery Development, The Witte Museum master plan, and the mass timber Soto Building, all in San Antonio. Outside of Texas, he is currently working on a master plan development for Montgomery Park in Portland, OR, the Trappey Riverfront District in Lafayette, LA, and two mass timber projects in Oregon and Idaho.

Graham Beach, AIA has been promoted to Associate Partner. Graham is a leader in the firm’s Eco-Conservation studio, where he champions projects that focus on sustainable community development and eco-hospitality. Ranging from urban development, higher education, civic, environmental education, and residential development projects, Graham’s diverse portfolio of work is connected by a specific understanding of place, pragmatic and elegant sustainable solutions, and a desire to foster community and celebrate the natural world. Graham’s projects include the Pearl Brewery Development in San Antonio, TX, the ASU Health Services Building in Tempe, AZ, Big Bend National Park’s Fossil Discovery Exhibit, and the Center for Conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Laura Kaupp Jensen, AIA has been promoted to Associate Partner. As a leader in Lake|Flato’s residential studio, Laura enjoys closely collaborating with clients in the design of thoughtful, comfortable homes that embrace their unique landscapes. Laura started her career in Annapolis, Maryland learning the craft of early American architecture and working within historical contexts. Returning to her Texas roots, she continues to be inspired by vernacular forms and their response to a particular climate and place. Her projects featured in our latest residential book Lake|Flato Houses: Respecting the Land include Verde Creek Ranch, Washington County Ranch, Paa Haa Ranch, and Olmos Park Residence, located across diverse areas of Texas. Laura also actively encourages mentorship through Lake|Flato’s Guide program.

Scott Lelieur, AIA has been promoted to Associate
Partner. As Lake|Flato’s Chief of Operations, Scott brings strong leadership and oversight to human resources, finance, management and business operations, ensuring that internal processes maximize the firm’s capabilities and growth capacity. He is committed to establishing an outstanding business culture supported by a sound financial and operational model to produce design of the highest quality. Scott’s attentiveness to organizational design and the alignment of process with organizational goals drives Lake|Flato’s success in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
