Lake Geneva Schools announces the opening of two charter schools for the 2019 - 2020 school year, Maple Park Charter School (4K – 8th Grade) and New Visions Charter School (9th Grade – 12th Grade). The new schools will provide a new and unique learning environment for students.
“Lake Geneva Schools is committed to supporting quality education programs. A community need has arisen for a blended learning approach that will challenge students to reach their full potential. Dr. Gottinger went on to say, “The addition of Maple Park and New Visions Charter Schools aligns with our mission of Honoring the unique talents of all, WE, the Lake Geneva Area Schools, families and communities, commit to providing every student with an excellent education that ensures the development of responsible, respectful citizens and inspires life-long learning. These Charter Schools allow us to provide a new and unique learning opportunity for students and families that are looking for an education that does not align with our traditional schools.”

Clothing 2 Learn about Replica Costumes
Michael Jackson impersonator Peggy Wolf paid a thriller visit to Badger High School Clothing 2 students recently to talk about the replica costumes she has made. A self-taught seamstress, Wolf had an early sewing class but quickly learned that it is not a one-size-fits-all world in fashion, so she started modifying patterns to fit herself. From there she started embellishing her wardrobe to reflect her personality. “Try to be yourself,” she told the class. “Don’t be shy to wear things nobody else does. Be yourself, find your own style and stand for it.”

Eastview STEAM Learning
Ms. Clark's 4th Grade exploratory used the Sphero's robots. As they practiced their coding skills they applied them to a little bit of WI geography and drove their Sphero around the State. Don't worry parents, it was only on a map!

Central-Denison 3rd Graders Learn About Scientific Method
3rd graders at Central-Denison learned about the scientific method. Then, the young scientists followed the steps to complete the experiment "Cloud in a Cup." The students worked to answer the question, how many drops of water can you add to the top of a shaving cream cloud before it will rain in the cup? A fun way to extend our learning of the water cycle and types of clouds.
