Summer Enrichment
Lake Geneva Schools' Summer Enrichment program offers stimulating, hands-on learning to 4K through eighth-graders. The program promotes life-long learning while making friends and having fun. Our dedicated teachers who are passionate about their subjects can't wait to share their excitement and ideas with students! Register early for the best class selection. Registration closes June 3, 2022. This program is free for Lake Geneva Joint #1 students and residents of Lake Geneva Joint #1.

Tennessen Named Lake Geneva Schools Director of Instruction
Chiper Tennessen has been named Director of Instruction by the Lake Geneva Joint 1 School Board of Education and Lake Geneva – Genoa City Union High School Board of Education. She will officially begin her new role on July 1, 2022. “I am pleased and excited to announce the hiring of Mrs. Chiper Tennessen as Director of Instruction of Lake Geneva Schools,” said Dr. Peter Wilson, incoming Superintendent.
Mrs. Tennessen has over twenty years of experience in education. She currently serves as the Principal for Star Center Elementary School and Maple Park Charter School as well as the Director of Online Learning for Lake Geneva Schools. Prior to these positions, she worked as a teacher, gifted and talented coach, and reading specialist.

LGMS National Junior Honor Society Ceremony 2022
On Monday, May 9, the LGMS National Junior Honor Society chapter held its Induction Ceremony. Eighth grade members were presented with their membership pins and certificates. Seventh grade inductees participated in the ceremony earning their membership certificates. Congratulations to all members and inductees!

Lake Geneva Schools welcomes Jessica Huffman as Director of Community Education. Jessica (Jessie) is a resident of Lake Geneva who is passionate about community connection.
Lake Geneva Schools began the search for a new Director of Community Education when Marie Collins, Lake Geneva Schools veteran of twenty-two years, announced her retirement, taking place at the end of this school year.

| Congratulations to Rachel Harmeling, Badger High School's Library Media Specialist! Rachel received a Results Plus Award at this month's Badger Board Meeting. She was nominated by Dani Madecky, English Teacher at Badger High School, for her dedication to the library and for helping students in multiple activities. She has shown a tremendous commitment to the students and Badger High School. | Congratulations to Angel Morales, an eleventh grader at Badger High School! He received an Achievement Plus Award for finishing third in the state at the Wisconsin Skills USA State competition. | Laurie Knepper and Brenda Dean were honored this month at the Lake Geneva Joint #1 School Board Meeting by Julie Milligan for their efforts in preparing Lake Geneva Middle School to distribute the Forward Exam to all students. Congratulations! | Nora Anderson, a fifth-grade teacher at Eastview Elementary received this month's Results award. She was nominated by one of her student's parents for going above and beyond with her son. Congratulations, Nora! | Robbie Nagle, a third grader at Central-Denison, received this month's Achievement Plus award.
