The time has come to start thinking about 4K for the 2023-2024 school year! 4K Registration is now open. ✨𝓝𝓮𝔀! ✨ Starting Fall 2023, you can enroll your 4K student in a full-day or morning half-day program at Lake Geneva Schools.

Badger Senior Named 2023 Herb Kohl Student Initiative Scholarship Recipient

On Friday, March 31, 2023, the Herb Kohl Education Foundation announced Kit Fleck, Badger High School Senior, as a 2023 Herb Kohl Student Initiative Scholarship recipient. Kit was chosen to receive a $10,000 award for showing a high level of motivation to achieve and a strong promise to succeed in college and beyond. Kit will be attending Carthage College to study Psychology. 

Kit was one of 190 graduating high school students who have demonstrated academic excellence and displayed a broad range of activity and leadership in their community. 

Summer Enrichment

During June, children in 4K-8th grade can participate in Lake Geneva Schools’ Summer Enrichment Program. New this year, the program will be a full-day program, Monday through Friday, at Eastview Elementary School. This program is FREE* to Lake Geneva Joint #1 students and families that reside in the Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District. Non-district/resident students can attend for a weekly fee. All children will receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. *$25 weekly supply fee includes a shirt, water bottle, and more.

Star Center Elementary School

Third-grade students have been working hard on their fraction stories. In class, students read some great mentor texts and then wrote their own. Fantastic work, 3rd graders!

Eastview Elementary School

Fourth-grade students had lots of fun learning about latitude and longitude by playing Battleship! What a fun and creative way to learn!

Badger High School Technology Education Department Recognized as a Program of Excellence

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the ITEEA conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Badger High School Technology Education Department received a prestigious “Program Excellence Award,” sponsored by the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEAA).

The award is among the highest honors given to technology and engineering programs. It is presented in recognition of outstanding contributions to the profession and students in superior K-12 technology and engineering education programs around the world.

Sign-up your child(ren) for the Badger High School 2023 Learn-To-Swim Program. This program is FREE* for Brookwood Elementary, Brookwood Middle, Central-Denison, Eastview, Lake Geneva Middle School, Maple Park, Star Center, Traver, and Woods Students, as well as families that reside in the Lake Geneva-Genoa City UHS District (Badger). * $20 Session Supply Fee. Central-Denison Elementary School

Mrs. Jooss’ 5K class finished their final “What I Like About Spring” writing. Look at the wonderful handwriting, spaces between words, and punctuation at the end! Students have also been sounding out words, spelling sight words correctly, and using endings in digraphs. Keep up the great work!

Maple Park Charter School

Oliver Hausner was nominated for an Achievement Plus Award by Ms. Michelle Lambert, Maple Park Principal, and Learning Coach, at the March Charter School Board meeting. Oliver is a model student who works hard and is a positive role model for his peers. He participates in extracurricular sports and is a member of the LGMS orchestra. Congratulations, Oliver!

Lake Geneva Middle School

On March 28, 2023, LGMS SOUL club, in coordination with Lakeland Church and OneMeal, a program that is a part of Kids Around the World, hosted a meal-packing event, packing 30,000 meals in just over an hour. Over 125 students and staff participated in this event, in which all were smiling and dancing while working together. Positive outreach and service to our community is the goal of the SOUL club, and it was wonderful to see so many feel the joy that comes from helping others!

Badger Junior Places 3rd at Social Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

Tuesday, April 11, 2023, was the UW-Whitewater High School Social Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition.

Badger High School Junior Ellie White, who wrote a business plan paper for Mrs. Pyun's entrepreneurship class, was selected as the 3rd place winner for her project called the Lake Geneva Bee Co. Her project addressed an opportunity to create an environmentally friendly business in our community.

Ellie was awarded a $1000 scholarship for this event, and we are so proud of her and all the entrepreneurship students who pursue their business goals. Congratulations, Ellie!

Geneva Lakes Burger Throwdown

This spring marks the 12th Annual Geneva Lakes Burger Throwdown, an event showcasing the talents of local chefs while raising funds to help grow and benefit the Badger High School ProStart Culinary program. The event is May 7th from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm at the Ridge Hotel in Lake Geneva, with VIP tickets getting in an hour early at 11:30 am. Purchase your tickets before they are sold out!
