Thank you, Teachers & Staff!

We are so grateful for our Teachers and Staff! They go above and beyond every day to ensure the success of our students. This Fall, Superintendent Dr. Peter Wilson, Members of his Leadership Team, and Members of the Joint #1 and Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union (Badger) High School Boards surprised Teachers and Staff with a small treat in their classrooms as a token of gratitude.

Badger High School Students Build a Tiny Home

The 2022-2023 Badger Geometry & Construction students have been hard at work designing and building a tiny home for a customer located in Janesville. Last week, students started framing and standing walls. Students in this class learn the basics of construction with topics ranging from framing to electrical to drywalling and everything in between. Mr. Bouzek and Mr. Curtis co-teach this class, and students receive both a math credit and an elective technology education credit upon completion; successful completion of the course also awards students up to five Gateway Technical College credits in the Building Trades pathway. Stay tuned for updates on the 2022-2023 Tiny House!

Gardens of Hope

This fall, Badger High School and Lake Geneva Middle School students planted yellow tulip bulbs throughout the outdoor spaces of both schools. Five hundred yellow tulip bulbs were donated to each school by community members and distributed by the Walworth County Public Health Department to every school in Walworth County to plant "Gardens of Hope." The gardens will serve as symbols of courage, community, and the importance of ending the stigma surrounding mental health.
