David Schulze paints en plein air and in his studio using an alla prima technique. His inspiration comes from listening to what the landscape is expressing, and then capturing that message using shape, value, and color. Frequent subjects come from his experiences in nature in Texas and New Mexico.

Nancy Bateman became enchanted with Fused Glass after commissioning a large piece by Diana Chase in 2014. Nancy creates a variety of styles from colorful whimsy, elegant flow, fun reactive pieces and precision works with intricate detail.

Annie Adams

Thirty plus years in graphic design directed Annie Adams to printmaking. Relief, engraving, and lithography are the processes she prefers. Her work has appeared in art shows at Dallas College, Bath House Cultural Center and the 500 Exposition Gallery.

Laurie Martineau

Laurie Martineau works with acrylic, charcoal, ink and pastel on paper and canvas. She builds layers using gestural marks until a rich texture evolves with a beautiful history of addition and subtraction. Each piece evolves through design, adjustment and refinement with complex changes which are bold or considered, radical or cautious.   Laurie’s work reflects the experience of landscape and geology up close in the abstract where straight lines and strata commingle with organic shape and color. Her paintings juxtapose the natural environment with geometric details to create a disruptive boundary between organic and inorganic elements, color and shape.

My most recent method of artistic expression is alcohol ink. Through my work I strive to comunicate the spirit of spontaneous expression with colors, lines, shpes, and dots inspired by nature.

Mary Tomlinson produces fabulous fantasy and colorful whimsical glass art for wall and table. She owns and operates the WILDVALLEY GLASS STUDIO for creative design and commission work.

Fused glass is an ancient art form dating back over 4000 years. This art glass has been heat-processed in a kiln to ~1500F which fuses layers of glass into one form and creating interesting visual presentation. At this point the glass is flat and to attain a specific shape, each piece is fired again to ~1200F for slumping into a mold or form.
