Project Transformation
Can you read with a child this summer?
Did you know that every summer LHUMC partners with Project Transformation (PT)?  On June 1st, 101 college interns arrived in Dallas to begin training with PT.  These interns live on the SMU campus and provide academic enrichment programs to over 1000 low-income children at under served churches across the metroplex!
How can you help?
  • Mark you calendar for July 29-30 to come spend an enjoyable morning reading with a child.  We need 10-12 reading volunteers.
  • Donate snacks, crafts, and athletic equipment.

Everywhere Fun Fair ~ VBS 2013
VBS 2013 group shot
VBS finished four great days of learning about how God calls us to love our neighbors.  The kids supported Kairos Prison Ministries with 1405 letters, place mats, and posters for the Kairos team to use on future Kairos Weekends.  In addition, our 5th and 6th graders made 120 sandwiches
for Austin Street.  We are grateful to the congregation for it's
support, donations, and most of all prayers.
 It was a fun week!
