ACT logo

Actors of Christian Talent (ACT) is an ongoing, 38 year community outreach mission of LHUMC. Three quarters of this year's 57 student participants were from the community, rehearsing for over 90 hours with students from our church. More than 80 adult volunteers logged more than 1000 hours in support of this amazing ministry.
Thanks be to God!

Austin Street Shelter
This is your opportunity to serve or prepare food for the folks at the Austin Street Shelter.  LHUMC has provided this mission outreach for seven years, and now is a great time to be a part of it.  Currently, we have 456 sandwiches, 504 hard boiled eggs and 360 pieces of fruit committed for this Sunday.  Typically, we like to take 800 to 1,000 of each so as you can see, we are in need of additional food for the folks staying at the Shelter.
Thanks for your continued support!

Stewardship & Finance Update
Lower than expected gifts and offerings in January were offset by strong giving in February to put us slightly ahead of our $183,000 year to date budget. We offer thanks that we have made our once yearly principal and interest mortgage payment of $73,000. We also thank those who made designated gifts totaling $14,000 for the water abatement work that was started and completed in February.
Let us know if there are any questions.
