Youth Mission Trip
Your investment in their trip will allow the Youth to travel beyond the church walls to McDowell County, West Virginia. There they will serve one of the poorest counties in the United States by rebuilding and sharing the love of Christ.
You can purchase your stocks outside the Sanctuary and in the back of the Great Hall before and after the church services. Stockholders will be invited to a special dinner to thank them for their investment and hear about the ways we served the community.
Interested in participating in the mission trip? -- Only a few youth spots are still available.

LHUMC Saving Money and Reducing Its Electricity Use
The LHUMC Trustees are pleased to announce that our congregation saved about $14,000 in electrical costs and reduced its kWh usage by 12% in 2012, compared to 2011.
The lion's share of savings came from reduced energy use resulting from the lighting and HVAC upgrades from our joint project with ONCOR, which matched the church's investment in new equipment through a grant. Other savings are from reduced electrical rates.
Please help support our efforts to reduce our impact on Creation by turning off lights, air conditioning, TVs, etc., when not in use.
August 5th-9th @ LHUMC
