  • Mark you calendar for July 29-30 to come spend an enjoyable morning reading with a child.  We need 10-12 reading volunteers.

Discussion Groups:
"7: an Experimental Mutiny Against Excess" 
  
"7" is the humorous story of author, Jen Haymaker's  seven month experiment with seven areas of excess and also her deeper call to simplicity and generosity.

 

Starting the week of July 8th, optional "7" book discussion groups will be available at several locations.

Countless people are blessed through LHUMC's Bread Connection ministry. For years, its faithful team members daily have picked up bread and other perishables - food otherwise destined for a dumpster -- from nearby Kroger and the Lake Highlands Super Target.

 

Depending on the day, these goods ultimately find their way to hungry people through Community Ministries' Audelia Manor Fellowship and New Room Community Church, Network of Community Ministries or Austin Street Center. 

  
Currently, the Bread Connection team needs someone for the 9am Sunday pick-up at Super Target.  If you want to help, please contact Target Team Leader:
