Stewardship & Finance Monthly update:
We give thanks to God, the source of all things, and to for those whose good financial stewardship helped us end the first quarter at $310,000 in giving to a budget of $311,000. Your continued faithfulness and giving as you are blessed support our worship, teaching, mission and life-changing work among so many in our community.
Our recently completed Here to Serve program is a wonderful example of our work in the community as 280 volunteers at 15 venues provided an estimated 800 hours of service.

LHUMC Saving Money and Reducing Its Electricity Use
The LHUMC Trustees are pleased to announce that our congregation saved about $14,000 in electrical costs and reduced its kWh usage by 12% in 2012, compared to 2011.
The lion's share of savings came from reduced energy use resulting from the lighting and HVAC upgrades from our joint project with ONCOR, which matched the church's investment in new equipment through a grant. Other savings are from reduced electrical rates.
Please help support our efforts to reduce our impact on Creation by turning off lights, air conditioning, TVs, etc., when not in use.
Thanks,
|
