We are Proud of our LNMS Veterans!
Leadership. Integrity, Commitment. These are just a few of the skills that our military veterans develop during their years of service to our country. They are also the skills that our greatest teachers exemplify in the classroom every day. More than 115,000 military veterans have made their way to the classroom as teachers for their follow on career after military service.

Principal's Honor Roll
Dr. Jackson recognized all students that made straight A’s for their outstanding scholastic achievement in a single quarter with a personalized certificate. She encouraged students to always do their very best!

Teach-In 2020
Each November, in celebration of American Education Week, the Foundation brings business and civic leaders into the classroom - in a fun and engaging way - to talk with students about academics, careers, and the future.

We are looking for people to participate in Lake Nona Middle School’s Teach In Event on November 18th! This program is designed to give students an insight into different careers. We would like for you to be a teacher for the day and share your career/hobby/interest with our middle school students.

Due to Covid -19 you will need to present virtually or create a pre-recorded presentation about your career. Please contact if you are able to participate. Thank you!!

Media Minutes
The media center has begun opening in the mornings for students!  Students are able to come up beginning at 9 am. While we are limited to a smaller number of students being able to visit, students are able to browse and check out books. They are able to read, study, or do homework while they are with us. We would love to see more students visiting us!
The SSYRA Reward Card Program is also underway. Students can read the SSYRA (Sunshine State Young Readers Award) books for grades 6-8. Once they complete the book, there is a multiple choice test available to them on the Student Body Course in Canvas. Students do need to email Ms. Powers to request the access code. Once they have passed three tests, they receive their Reward Card and their first item of choice. As they progress through more titles, more prizes are distributed. We have several students who have already earned their cards! Congratulations to the following readers:
6th Graders:
  • Madelyn Berry
  • Abigail Kirkland
  • Alyssa Martinez
7th Graders:
  • Lovisa Armstrong
  • Jatniel Cruz
  • Andrew Gage
The LNMS Media Center receives new books monthly. Check out our new book display!
Students can access the library collection by going through their OCPS Launchpad. In the Library Research Tools Folder, Follett Destiny is where our ebooks and physical books can be located. Physical books can be requested by LaunchEd students by completing the Google Form in the Student Body Course in Canvas. And the over 250 available ebooks can be easily checked out and read on their laptops!
