Effective as of May 14 at 5pm, Gov. Roy Cooper lifts all mandatory capacity and gathering limits, social distancing and most mandatory mask requirements. Masks will be required on public transportation and in certain public health settings. Over 35% of the state population has been fully vaccinated and 42% has had at least one dose.
