Email matt@lake-oswego.com if you would like to receive a regular notice for these meetings:

This group of downtown business representatives meets the second Thursday of each month from 9-10 AM. This is a hybrid meeting (Zoom and in person). The group reorganized in 2025 and will continue to meet in 2026. If you would like to be on a regular notification list, email matt@lake-oswego.com

Lake Grove Business Group

This group has became part of the Chamber in 2022, but had a very long history prior. Lake Grove business representatives meet monthly at Babica Hen on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 – 8:30 AM. In 2026, only Chamber members may attend this meeting, but members may bring guests. New businesses can attend twice without being members.

West End Business Group

Started in March, 2025, this group meets in a different location each month on the third Thursday from 7:30 to 9 AM. Guest speakers are featured. The group now averages 20 attendees per month.

COMING SOON IN 2026:

LO Tech Connect launches the third Tuesday of every month from 4:30-6 PM starting January 20th. The location changes monthly so please watch the newsletter for the monthly location. This group is designed for individuals who work in the tech sector to be able to meet and network with others in this sector.

Young Professionals Lake Oswego (YPLO) launches the second Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5 PM starting February 10th. The location changes monthly so please watch the newsletter for the monthly location. This group is designed to connect young people at the beginning of their careers to other young professionals working or living in the Lake Oswego area.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

  • Staff and/or Government Affairs committee members monitored City Council meetings throughout the year
  • Thank you, Anastasia Yu Meisner and Ken Sandblast for taking on the co-chairs of the Government Affairs committee. Thank you to past chair Linda Ganzini.
  • Thank you to our committee of Paul Glass, Jay Hamachek, Karen Jacobsen, Rob LeChevallier, Doug Cushing, Marcia Kies, and Nina Carlson.
  • Chamber members are invited to attend Government Affairs meetings, but only committee members may vote. If you would like to be included on the notification list, email matt@lake-oswego.com
  • 2026 will include interviews and endorsements for the Clackamas County Commission and the LO City Council.

FISCALLY HEALTHY

The Chamber is fiscally sound:

  • 470 members (see them all in our online directory), an increase from last year
  • Our member software was transitioned to ChamberMate in January, 2025, which helped to streamline our billing process and make online payment easier for our members.
  • Members manage their account details and pay annual dues online through ChamberMate's Member Portal, which is accessed through a link in the upper-right corner of our home page. (Need help accessing your account? Email matt@lake-oswego.com.)
  • Get the most from your membership by completing and maintaining your business details through the Member Portal. This includes your business description, which helps potential customers locate you through keyword searches. Include your social media accounts as well; it helps us when tagging you in posts!

LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

The Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce has a long history of developing strong leaders in our community.

Leadership Lake Oswego has been helping leaders create the conditions for success since 1985. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 (not all pictured):

Under the direction of Christopher Boyer (Academy of Modern Martial Arts), the Leadership Lake Oswego (LLO) program kicks off each year with a Meet and Greet in August, followed by the first meeting in September. They meet once/month for nine months, followed by a Graduation in June.

Most students describe the meaningful relationships made in the class as one of the most valuable benefits of LLO. You spend time with other local leaders from all walks of life that you may not have been exposed to in any other way.

Entering its third year, our Business Leadership Development program graduated its second class in 2025 (not all pictured):

The Business Leadership Development program is designed to deepen the impact and influence our members have within their organizations. Interactive sessions are once a month for 6 hours, January - June. The lead facilitator & sponsor, Heather Graves-Ramsey (Coach to Brilliance), has designed and delivered similar programs for chambers and member associations across the country. Each session is co-facilitated with experts in the content areas:

  • Leadership Styles & Intention
  • Motivating Self & Others
  • Pulling vs. Pushing Conversations
  • Creating Inclusive Environments
  • Managing Change
  • Maximizing Your Impact

NOW IS THE TIME TO REGISTER for the Business Leadership Development Class of 2026. The deadline has been extended to January 10th. Class begins January 21st.

BUSINESS LO PODCAST IS A HIT

The Business LO Podcast was launched in the Summer of 2024, with new episodes released on the first of each month. Each episode of Business LO gives insider information to the local business community and the neighbors who support them. This podcast is the go-to for the must-dos for your business success here in Lake Oswego.

Big events like the Community Awards, Hop at the Hunt, two Wine Walks, a Wellness Fair, Third Thursdays... the list goes on and on. New software, new website... AND... an office move in March. We are enjoying 148 B Avenue, counting the days for the new coffee shop next door to open!
